Kanrethad Ebonlocke
I mentioned in my last post that this was now a over power nuke fight... But before Warlords it was the other way around. It was hard, and gear did little to help. A new 90 was as likely to kill him as a end game raider in full Mythic gear from SoO. Ya, that hard.
But its not so bad now. But for the sakes of memories... PAINFUL memories, im sharing the strategy I used to beat him.
Phase 1: RP
For a little bit he'll stand there just talking. During this time you nuke. Like a mad man! You blew ever CD you had, you put this guy down HARD.
Phase 2: Fight Starts-Pit Lord Summoned
Now when he starts the fight he'll pull a pit lord from the portal. This is a MAJOR mechanic. You have to first fear then enslave the demon. If you didn't fear first he'd charge and stun you.
Upside, this pet has some massive damage and the charge is now used in your favor. Stick him on the boss and let him be killed over time (pretty much little healing, you'll need him to survive till Cataclysm but die before the next pit lord is summoned!
Stay infront of him for cleansing from his breath (which you'd want macro'd to ensure full use!).
Phase 3: Imps!!
A shit ton of imps appear. You had to AoE and kill them FAST! Upside is pit lords breath helped abit.
Phase 4: Fel Puppies!
I love dogs but these things give you HELL! They cleansed your enslave demon and went after you in a bad way. You have to down these FAST or you'd get nuked by the pit lord.
Phase 5: Doomguard
Yap, here comes another pain. He just casts shadowbolt-annoying and deadly over time- so you had to banish this one on lockdown.
Things to watch:
During the fight he'd use Chaos Bolt which is a near one shot. You'll have to use gates and ports to LoS it behind pillars.
Every now and then he'll do Cataclysm! Your Pit Lord MUST charge him when he starts or you'll wipe.
Upside:
Soul Stone is friend. You need to soul stone yourself ahead of time so you could die once.
All Pots, healthstones, flask, ect are allowed! You can be COMPLETELY BUFFED!
If you die, the pit lord stays under your control. That means you could use him to finish off that last 2% if you were super close!
Pit Lord did ALOT of your damage. You mainly were there to handle adds, the demon is the major dps to the boss (which is why a new 90 could kill him with ease and a raider fail miserably).
As mentioned above, this was the old way. The new way is nuke him. But by beating him in this old way you received a Feat of Strength, Green Fire in MoP, and a title that only your one lock gets.
Thank yall for stopping by, I hope yall enjoyed the guides! And again, thank you for sticking with me this long, I hope to keep you coming! :)
